POTTERTON 5139805 P&T RELIEF VALVE.

The pressure relief valve, sometimes called relief valve, PRV or safety valve, is used to regulate the pressure in a system. It is set to open if the system pressure goes above a certain point to prevent the system from getting damaged . Each PRV has a set "bar", once this bar is reached the prv opens to allow water to escape which in turn decreases the pressure within the system .
